Oswego NY 6-11-12 008Mark and I both agree there is a peace to sunsets. This is in Oswego, not far from here—maybe 12-15 miles. We like to go up there and watch the water, it brings a calming feeling-at least to me. At night, after a very busy day the sunset brings me back to solitude.

Life seems to be full of ups and down. We make all sorts of decisions in our lives and sometimes those decisions are ones that end up great… sometimes they end up really bad.

But at the end of the day, if we take time to absorb the calming of the sunset, somehow it seems ok for a while. I remember when I was a very young child and my older brother took sunset pictures every night.Oswego NY 6-11-12 012 He appreciated the sunset..yet something happened—I never was told what…but all of the sudden he stopped taking the sunsets. Someone said something, something happened—and it was enough to shoot down his passion. I was 7 so he must have been 27 than..and his desire was crushed by someone’s words or actions. It saddens me still…

There are a few people in my life, people that I know and care about, who have challenges facing them in life— As we were watching the sunset, my mind was on them…and wondering if they were taking time to recharge through sunsets and whispering winds. When life is really lousy, I think it is easy to forget everything that can make us feel better. Oh I know a sunset will not take away our pain, our troubles…but it does make the world stop for a moment and gives me a time to recharge.

So to all those facing times of doubt, times of worry, times of sickness… I hope you can find for a moment, something that brings you the peace a sunset brings to me.

Love always, Mrs. Justa alias Cindy
