Whoa, and I thought my life was hard. Can you imagine having to walk around with your groceries or food supplies on your head? With a big pottery set of bowls? I am not thinking so! I remember when my mom thought my posture needed working on, so she gave my a Webster’s Dictionary ( THE UNABRIDGED VERSION) image to walk around with on my head. That was heavy enough. I would have to try to walk and have it stay balanced on the top of my head. A feat that took some doing, because, ( at least for me) the top of my head is rounded. I can not imagine carrying bowls on my head, with my hands at my side, like this woman. ( courtesy of clipart.com)

I am clumsy at times, I run into things

I sometimes am multi-tasking and going in different directions rather quickly, and going up stairs , I am a railing kinda gal, so I am thinking that I would need quite a few bowls just to make it through a day, and folks would be able to tell where I had been, just by looking at the shattered pottery along the way.

Some days I feel like I have a full bowl

of water on my head, but it is not literally , just figuratively. I will say that something is weighing heavy on my mind, this lady can say it and mean it. Picture the environments you are exposed to, do you work in a factory, an office environment, a school, a store, .. okay now picture if everywhere you went you carried whatever on your head. See what I mean, that would be a mess. In my place of work we have cubicles and headsets for the phone, every time I got up to carry something wherever, the bowl would be a problem.

This woman is strolling almost, don’t you think?

Kinda of floating through each step, she is even stepping up a step. Man, I wonder at what age a person starts to get this technique, it must be at a young age. Maybe the size of the bowls get larger , as they get older.

Now I must admit, there is a plus

to this, she still has her arms to carry more things. If I try to practice this, I would need a chin strap, but there may be something to this. This culture of woman, they know hard labor in a different way that we do in this part of America. Sure most of us can say we work hard, we try to juggle our home and work life, and if we have kids we are juggling their needs too, and I respect every person for their challenges and pressures of work and home. I just am amazed at other cultures, other ways people live, and I wonder what “stress” is to this woman? What does she complain about? What is the conversation like with friends? I am thinking that she does not have problems going to bed at night, ( whatever her bed is like) and she must have a totally different outlook on life when she gets up for another day. I feel blessed, spoiled and thankful. How about you ? Love to all, Cin
